Melissa Abramo, M.A, CCC-SLP
Melissa is a nationally and state of Florida licensed, ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Arts in May 1992 and Master of Arts in Communicative Disorders in December 1993 from the University of Central Florida.
Melissa has over 26 years of clinical experience involving various settings such as private practice, skilled nursing facilities (adult rehab), home health, hospitals, Orange County Public Schools and Health First Pediatric Rehabilitation located at the HOPE Center in Rockledge, FL. For the past 19 years she has honed her experience working with children ages 3 to 12 in the Brevard Public School system and enjoys working with children with various exceptionalities. She has been a speech-language pathologist at Beachside Speech Therapy since 2018. She currently works full time in the school system and is available for after school and early evening appointments.

Christine Decaprio, M.A, CCC-SLP
Christine is a nationally and state of Florida licensed, ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She was awarded her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Central Florida in Communication Disorders.
Christine has over 22 years of experience working in private practice, home-health, and public/private schools. Christine has extensive clinical expertise in articulation, autism spectrum disorders, language disorders, and phonology. Her diverse experiences have helped her discover her passion for the field of Speech Language Pathology. She has been a speech-language pathologist at Beachside Speech Therapy since 2018. She currently works in the Brevard Public Schools and is available for after school or early evening appointments.

Kimberly Carlson, M.A, CCC-SLP
Kim is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist, licensed in Florida and North Carolina. She was awarded her Master of Arts degrees from the University of Central Florida in Communication Disorders.
Kim has over 28 years of experience working with a diverse population from school based (prekindergarten through high school), acute care, skilled nursing, home-health, and private therapy settings. For the past 18 years, she has worked primarily with children diagnosed with autism, articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders and delays, intellectual deficits and assistive technology. Prior to that she worked with adults. Kim is an enthusiastic collaborator and feels her greatest success is achieved with the involvement of her client's support team members. Kim has moved out of state and is greatly missed at Beachside Speech Therapy.

Leslie Horn, M.S, CCC-SLP
Leslie is nationally and state of Florida licensed American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) certified speech language pathologist. She was awarded her Master of Science degree from the Florida State University.
Leslie has 30+ years of experience working with young children in the schools, clinic, preschools, and home therapy settings. She believes therapy for young children must be fun and functional. Leslie has been a speech-language pathologist at Beachside Speech Therapy since 2021.

Her practice focuses on a variety of disorders impacting speech and language including developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, sensory processing dysfunction, auditory processing, articulation, fluency, oral motor deficits, and cognitive disorders. She has led social skills groups for children and young adults. Her treatment is through play-based therapy and a collaborative approach with occupational therapists. She has been a resident of Indialantic since 1992. Kristen and her husband have raised two children in our beachside community. Kristen has been a speech-language pathologist at Beachside Speech Therapy since 2019.

Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University in 1985. She is currently licensed in the states of Florida and Ohio and holds her national certification from NBCOT. Melissa has over 34 years of clinical experience and has worked with children for the majority of her career. She has worked in the public school setting for the past 8 years, seeing children from preschool through high school ages. Melissa has also worked in Early Intervention, providing home services to children ages birth to three. She is excited to share her experience in treating sensory processing dysfunction, fine motor deficits and developmental delays. Melissa and her husband Lou are originally from Milford Ohio and have two adult daughters (Meredith and Mariah) who continue to reside in the Buckeye State. Melissa has been an Occupational Therapist at Beachside Speech Therapy since 2020.
